I usually get the chicken katsu because they are consistent as hell here! Super crispy, batter sticks to the meat, the mac salad is super good, and portions are huge!!

Always a line out here! We got the prosciutto croque monsieur, which had a good amount of salty flavor, so the spicy pickled carrots cut right through it! The ham and cheese croissant was super flaky (it got everywhere!) and pretty good. And, of course, the famous morning bun! This time it was a lot softer than the first time I got it. It’s drizzled with something like an orange caramel syrup. Definitely worth trying if you haven’t tried already.

I think I got the Porn Star. No joke, that’s what it’s called! And it is hella good!!! It has marinated bbq chicken, bomb sauce, secret sauce, teriyaki, and I think Swiss cheese.

Where: Grindz (San Francisco)

Once again, Grindz! Love their spam and cheese waffles! Got a chicken katsu moco. Good gravy, crispy chicken, oozing egg! We finished off the meal with the pineapple with li-hing powder. Different presentation this time, but still delicious!!!

Just a typical heavy meal here! We shared one of their burgers that is mixed with bacon. Good burger. The pork fries are a winner. Pulled pork with cheese, buffalo sauce, and scallions over criss cut fries. So good! We also got the lobster mac and cheese because it’s awesome!

This may have become my favorite breakfast/brunch/dinner place! My first time for brunch and I got the Miracle Pancakes (changes daily) and tried some of the ravioli with porcini mushrooms and some sort of magical white wine sauce. My pancakes were banana and just delightful. This place is known for their pancakes and I wasn’t disappointed one bit!

I’ve had the ravioli for dinner before and it was just as amazing to have earlier in the day! I could take shots of the sauce. No joke. I wanted to take the sauce to go to warm me up later!

Finally!!! Finally Judy comes up for a visit and finally, I get to try this place! We split the pork belly and polenta (very tender and the polenta was as light as can be), asparagus salad (seasoned well, dressed well, and went perfectly with the prosciutto), Atomic pizza with sausage (thin crusted, much flavor, I want more)

They’ll make you a personal pizza for about $6.50! I got roasted garlic, sausage, mozzarella, and pesto. Not bad for a good price!

My first day of having our lunch paid for by work. Got a bacon cheese burger with onion rings and got some OranGINA just because I could!

Where: Limetree and Polly Ann Ice Cream (San Francisco)

When: 3/15/2014

I love Limetree. The curry sauce they use is amazing!! We got a roti, corn fritters (they put shrimp in them!), beef rendang, and Singaporean noodles. Just a good, affordable meal! The roti is worth it on its own!

We drove over to Polly Ann’s to grab some ice cream. Can’t go wrong with their exotic flavors!

Some nice, tasty grub after a little run around Golden Gate Park. A place with some tasty “saliva chicken”! We got some dry fried green beans, dan dan mien, the beef roll, Westlake beef soup, and spicy wonton. Overall, I was pretty impressed. Gotta love all the spiciness making you sweat!

Grabbed some lunch with some of the fam. I ordered some dan dan mien and we shared the dry fried chicken. They use a good amount of salt (or msg) here, so there’s a good amount of flavor. Just not completely sold on it yet.

Got to check it out before Chef Chris Constantino closes shop and reopens it into something new! Known for the ‘offal’ food. Being Asian, I’m down for eating some ‘weird’ stuff! I shared a few dishes with Regina. We started with bone marrow with sweet bread. The bone marrow was alright and the sweet bread was better than I’ve had at most places.

The handkerchief pasta and rustic pork ragu was very good. The pasta was super tender! Our favorite was the spaghettini with sardinian cured tuna heart, egg yolk, and parsley. It had so much flavor, I couldn’t believe it! Next, we got the lamb neck with polenta and a horseradish gremolata. Super tender and full of flavor! Our last dish was a braised pork shoulder with lentils, mushrooms, and pickled ramps. Our dessert was a chocolate budino, fior di latte with hazelnuts.

Overall the meal was really good. I didn’t try the pig head ribollita and snails, but sampled the sea urchin and sorrel risotto. Lots of good flavors, very inventive, and am very glad I got a chance to try it out. The Chef was also in the house expediting, so that was refreshing to see.

Dinner with friends on 3/9/2014

Some homemade chili with fries over an all beef hotdog. Topped with onions and cheddar cheese.

We had one of our nostalgic day camp desserts, STRAWBERRY MESS!

Get a ready made pie crust, add in a bunch of cool whip, then add some thawed strawberries and mix! Looks gross, tastes amazing!

Lunch at work for 3/9/2014
Ordered from CPK. No longer piping hot, but still had the good Thai chicken pizza flavor I remember.
